Message was a difficult decision. My original tire setup had 255-35-18 front, 285-30-18 rear. Finding a manufacturer that has tires with both of these sizes is next to impossible. Since the A048's didn’t have the 255 size I compromised and went with the taller 265s for the front. Oddly enough they have both 285-30 and 295-30 sizes. Since the front tire was a lot taller now I decided to go with a taller rear tire to keep my Revs/mile in check front to rear. Putting 295s on a 9.5" wide wheel is borderline to looking a little "plump". The tire shop guys gave me a little guff about it, but I reassured them it will be ok.

When one of the rear tires were mounted I compared them to the 285-30 S03s. OMG, they were a lot wider than the extra 10mm, it was more like 3/4"-1" wider in section width. I figured I went this far I'm committed just put them on the car, I'll burn them off before I put them into storage and get a different size next year :)

To help in the understeer department I am planning to buy two more Volk Wheels 18x9.5" variety to replace the 8.5" wide wheels in the front. Next set of tires will be 285-30s all the way around. I know 285s fit up front from a test fitment last summer, I put a back tire on the front by accident, another brain fart I guess. I just didn’t have enough money to swing two more wheels with all the rest of the upgrades this summer. Volk raised prices on my wheels, there up to about $680 each, OUCH!! If I’m gonna play I gotta pay, darn........
